Home Is Where Your Heart Lives- Rehana Nazli

Home is not an ideal place
Home is based on realities
Home is where your love grows
Home is where you scream and fight
Home is where you live in peace

Home is where you feel belong
Home is also a shared space
Home is where we feel safe

Home is where you smell the rain
Home is where the sun shines
Home is where we bear the pain

Home is place for hide and seek
Home is where you fly kites
Home is where you play with dolls
‘There is no place like home’.

Poems I Have Looked At

Sylvia Plath- Balloons

Since Christmas they have lived with us,
Guileless and clear,
Oval soul-animals,
Taking up half the space,
Moving and rubbing on the silk
Invisible air drifts,
Giving a shriek and pop
When attacked, then scooting to rest, barely trembling.
Yellow cathead, blue fish ----
Such queer moons we live with
Instead of dead furniture!
Straw mats, white walls
And these traveling
Globes of thin air, red, green,
Delighting
The heart like wishes or free
Peacocks blessing
Old ground with a feather
Beaten in starry metals.
Your small
Brother is making
His balloon squeak like a cat.
Seeming to see
A funny pink world he might eat on the other side of it,
He bites,
Then sits
Back, fat jug
Contemplating a world clear as water.
A red
Shred in his little fist.

Robert Frost- Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
And dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Evaluation

I feel that this project has gone well, however in the future I will concentrate on stills photography rather than moving image. I feel that the section of the film using toast and alphabet spaghetti works the best as The contrast between textures and colours really makes the lettering stand out from the toast. If I were to develop this project further, I would look into using household objects to spell out famous quotes and photograph them. This project has been a challenge, because I have little experience of creating a moving image piece, however I feel that it has been overall a success. If I did the project again, I would look into using a variety of household objects and develop these ideas into the final outcome.
